Stack up to five 100Base-FX hubs together for a total of 60 fiber optic ports. Canary makes fiber to the desktop a realistic alternative to standard Category 5 cabling.
Scaleable InvestmentCanaryNet 100 hub series is scaleable. Keep your initial Fast Ethernet investment low yet have the ability to increase your fiber optic density in the future. Canary has designed in a special Local MAC port on each hub to provide access to a 100Mbps bridge. By attaching the CFB-2015 Fast Ethernet Bridge, the user can segment his or her network into smaller collision domains and avoid the inherent network diameter limitations of Fast Ethernet. There is virtually no limit to the sizeof a network built on a CanaryNet 100 hub foundation.

Ethernet-Ten Times FasterCanaryNet 100 hubs provide real throughput benefits - a 10Mbps network running at 50% utilization is equal to 5% utilization on a Fast Ethernet, leaving 95% of the band width available. Not only is load capacity increased but response time is also improved. CanaryNet 100 hubs share the same frame format and medium access control mechanisms as 10Base-T Ethernet so the migration to Fast Ethernet is clean and simple. Strict compliance with the IEEE 802.3 CSMA/CD standard ensures that the CanaryNet 100 hubs are interoperable with other 100Base compatible products. Set up is as easy as plugging them in.
Fiber Optic BenefitsCanary’s 100Base-FX hubs operate over a pair of 62.5/125 micron fiber cables. Fiber not only provides the user with increased transmission ranges, but security, electromagnetic protection and the ability to “future proof” his or her network. Installing fiber optic cabling today enables the user to upgrade from 10Mbps speeds to ATM or Gigabit without having to pull new cable. CanaryNet 100 hubs support the standard ST and SC fiber optic connector types, as well as, the revolutionary MT-RJ and VF-45 small form factor connector types.
