The DECserver 708 is a high performance asynchronous device and remote access server that provides 8, 9-pin D-sub (DB9) serial ports supporting full RS232 8-signal modem control. With AUI and 10BaseT Ethernet the DECserver 708 has connectors supporting up to eight sessions per port and speeds up to 115.2 Kbps per port.
Confidently initialize and configure any serial device in your network using the redundant in-band and out-of-band connectivity of Digital Networks’ DECserver 708.
An external FLASH socket for the customer installable Flash card, supports a self-booting operation. The DECserver 708 runs DNAS (DECserver Network Access Software), which delivers multi-protocol support for TCP/IP, IPX, and AppleTalk networks. DECserver 708 units are designed for tabletop or rack-mount configuration.
